John Mueller has entertained audiences throughout North America in rock and roll performances and portrayals of Buddy Holly. John is an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician, playwright and actor. He has also starred as Buddy Holly in the world stage premiere of “Be Bop a Lula” in Hollywood, and he won a Drama Desk Award for his portrayal of Buddy in the production of “Buddy…The Buddy Holly Story.” John, who bears a remarkable resemblance to Buddy Holly onstage, will perform as Buddy in this production of “Rock ‘N Roll Will Never Die.”
Ray Anthony's tribute has been endoresed by Ritchie Valens' family, who often come to see him perform, and is in regular contact with Bob Morales, Ritchie's half brother. Ray truly pays a wonderful tribute to Ritchie Valens - which is all the more to Ray's credit as there is very little original footage to watch and because Ritchie was so young when he died.
Jay P. Richardson, the actual son of the original Big Bopper, will pay tribute to his father. On stage, he goes by the name “Big Bopper Jr.” He was born 84 days after his father died in the fatal plane crash in Iowa in 1959. Jay previously owned a nightclub called “The Little Bopper,” but with his family resemblance and similar singing style, he was eventually convinced to perform his own tribute to his father. Jay’s part of the show features songs written by the Big Bopper, such as Running Bear, White Lightnin’, Big Bopper’s Wedding, and a wonderful version of the unforgettable Chantilly Lace.
